Bolted, not welded
Every frame comes apart. A welded frame cannot go up a Copenhagen stairwell and cannot be repaired when one leg is damaged — it becomes scrap. Bolting costs us assembly time and saves the customer the whole piece.

Four people, twelve pieces
The studio opened in 2019 with a decision that has shaped everything since: no seasonal releases. A permanent catalogue means we can keep tooling, keep stocking parts, and keep improving a drawing rather than replacing it.
It also means the catalogue grows very slowly. Twelve pieces in seven years is not a commercial strategy — it is the number of things four people can draw, prototype, revise and then stand behind for a decade.
Everything is specified in millimetres and published as a dimensioned drawing, because the most common reason furniture is returned is that it did not fit. If the drawing is on the page, that conversation happens before the order rather than after the delivery.

Oiled, not lacquered
A lacquer is a plastic film. It resists marks for a few years and then it fails, and when it fails the only repair is a full strip-and-refinish. An oil finish marks more easily and can be sanded and re-oiled locally, in place, by anyone.

Parts for as long as we make it
Ten-year guarantee on structural components, and replacement parts available at cost for as long as a piece stays in the catalogue. This is the reason the catalogue is twelve pieces and not sixty.
