Why it is made this way
A 300mm bowl thrown at a conventional 8mm wall weighs enough that it needs two hands full, which makes it an object rather than a bowl. This one is thrown at 4.5mm and trimmed to 3.5mm at the rim, near the limit before it warps in the kiln. Roughly one in six warps beyond our 4mm tolerance and is sold as a second at the workshop rather than shipped.
