Why it is made this way
Coffee tables are almost always 400–450mm high, which is correct for a 450mm sofa seat and wrong for the 380mm seats we make. At 320mm this table sits level with the FS-04 cushion, so a cup does not require leaning. The legs taper from 55mm to 32mm — enough to look light, thick enough at the joint to take a knock without splitting the mortise.
